M Performance Exhaust Options
Hi, new user here. Sorry if this has been asked before (I did search, I promise) but can anyone explain what the difference is between the M Performance Exhausts offered by BMW?
On the official site there are the following listed: 1) Part number 18302424608 Made of Inconel (a chrome and nickel super alloy), 40% lighter than original system, rich sound with less back pressure, and titanium double tailpipes. 2) Part number 18302354362 Stainless steel system, transforms the vehicle's sound into a unique audio experience. Part number 18302355889 Carbon fibre tailpipe trim. The two options have very similar costs and I don't care what my exhaust tips look like. What I really want to know is how they compare for power improvements and most importantly, sound. (My car is a brand new M240i coupe). Any thoughts? |

It may be that in the UK you have silencers available to you that are not on offer over here; e.g., this would be the first I've heard of an Inconel exhaust part for our cars.

Thanks for the quick reply! Must be a market difference - screenshots below.
I would definitely like one or the other, but I'd love to know if anyone has any experience on the differences between them before I resort to picking one with a coin flip..! |
