name that cooler
There are so many coolers on the m235i and real oem is a bit confusing
I had to change my rad /intercooler support bracket, I’m putting everything together and I need to know what fluid runs through each item so I can clean it First cooler sits in front of the condenser? What does it carry? It has two lines Second cooler has 3 lines behind rad Lastly the radiator has 4 inlets/outlets. Are they all for coolant |

If so I can’t believe these cars have two external oil coolers not counting oil filter housing The smaller cooler (zip tied) I believe is the trans cooler (manuals can confirm) it’s cooled via the radiator |

Also, that small cooler in front of the radiator is the guilty party for me not being able to have an aftermarket heat exchanger installed in my car. I had purchased one which was advertised as a "direct bolt-on" but after the shop pulled things apart they said it was a no go unless there was some cutting of plastic brackets and zip ties to get it all secured. I didn't want it to be half ass engineered in so I sent the part back.

Ha ha. Tell that to my ECU after a few pulls when it's 80 degrees outside and it wants to cut throttle and timing......so much cooling things happening yet still a ton of heat soak and performance impact.

Nope, I had JB4 and then switched to MHD. Running stock map now. The timing corrections from the car getting hot were more prominent with the JB4 setup.
