MCHLBMR - Introductory Thread

Hi All,

This post has been a long time coming.

I purchased my 2er last April. Coming from a 2018 Focus ST, I wanted to keep with a smaller car - but I've wanted a BMW since I was 16 years old. It was the perfect option and I've been smiles ever since.

As far as mods: I immediately did Xpel tint and got the spoiler from RW Carbon. The MP Front Lip Spoiler changes the look of the car dramatically (I want to thank IND for the hookup). I also want to lower it, add spacers and painted reflectors. Any other suggestions are welcome!

As for the future, I'm stoked to learn more from this great community and group of people.

I've included some pics. I'm obviously not as great as photography as most of you, please don't roast me too much! Lol.

Hey MCHLBMR,

Like seriously, you could have gotten grey or black but noooo, you had to go and get a red one! Now look at that! You have the finest 2er this side of CA!

In al seriousness, I love the car! I just can't get over how pretty the black accents are against that vibrant red. You have excellent taste, my friend.

Good choice on XPEL, that's what I did as well on mine.

You seem like a guy with an earnest passion for cars, and I can tel that your future is very bright with this car. Thank you for sharing!!

Very nice car and tasteful mods. I'm a firm believer that "less is more" in most cases.

I'm with you on car size. The 2 series is just about right. Of course our other car is a 2019 Mini Cooper S and I find that car to be quite serviceable too.

Enjoy your new car and let us know if do further mods.

Well done...looks excellent...nice job!

Suggestions? If you go ahead as above, don't drive it at night.

Always suggest the lower control arm kit from Turner Motorsports for RWD vehicles. Brings the steering back to life and improves the "planted" feel in cornering. To complete that upgrade, when it's time for tires....Michelin PS4S. You're in the climate to allow it year round.

It's from RW Carbon. The fitment and quality are A+.

That is beautiful, now I can't decide whether I want to go with the Alpine White or the Melbourne Red. It's been a long time since BMW offered a shade of red that really appeals to me.

I'll look into this, for sure. Thank you.

Alpine white with coral interior that's a statement!

Not too much trouble MCHLBMR, you live in California and we have this pesky smog test to worry about. That's why I did a Dinan piggyback. Mike will steer you straight. Oh, BTW the car looks fantastic.
