OLD CP and IC

Have removed the Charge Pipe and Intercooler. Intercooler was easy to remove once all the panels were removed. The Charge pipe was an inch by inch removal out the lower opening where the IC was removed.

It took about 1.5 for removal. Plan to install the new VRSF CP and 5" HD when time permits.

For those on the fence -- this is easy stuff.

I do this in preparation for BM3 Stage 1 and Wagner Catted Downpipe. No plans for Stage 2.

Any idea how this set-up will run?

When I change the WP in about 10K I plan on GFB+.

CP Standoff Support ~ Removal Helpful

Installation of VRSF CP & 5 HD Intercooler.

Big thanks to those Youtube Vlog's (BMW DIY GUY, AME & Fritz Ramos) could have not done it without you.

Lessons Learned:

Charge Pipe (see photo) the original support standoff and rubber grommet - I removed the 13mm bolt and bkt which gave me necessary room for aligning the pipe up with the IC. I did however notice a small cut in my MAP sensor green o-ring which I will have to replace.

Intercooler -- it will fit without removal of the bumper or any trimming of plastic shroud. I tilted the IC back and push up while I was positioned between the garage floor and the IC. Tight fit but it can be done by one person. At first look I thought the bumper would have to come off but not necessary.
