M235 lowered on 19s ?

Hey just wondering if anyone has lowered their M235 with 19 inch rims ? Curious if any issues with rubbing. Also what setup was used and thoughts on it. Thanks guys !

After reading every thread multiple times over the winter....et43 front 8.5" and et50 rear 9.5" are the ideal offsets if running 235/35 and 265/30. You'll see alot of 2ers on et35 and et45 with 225/35 and 255/30 but there isn't much sidewall left on that fitment. Im ordering vmr 710s in et45f and et50r and using a 3mm spacer in the front to get et43. Off the shelf solution.

Edit- doing dinan springs and from my research there won't be any rub. Can't say if that's true with springs that go lower

There's nothing special about 19" rims. You reduce the sidewall of the tire and end up with the same overall diameter. Read up on fitments that work with the springs you're planning on and you can easily adjust the tire size between 19" 18" or 17".

OP: What is your goal in fitting 19" wheels?
Remember that your chances of tire and rim damage increase geometrically with every added inch in wheel size. So if an 18" wheel is twice as likely to incur damage as a 17" wheel, then a 19" wheel is four times as likely.
If you go with 19", you may need to carry two spares!

19" VMR 802 w/ Dinan Springs

I have 19s and lowered on Dinan springs and bumpstops. No rubbing or issues whatsoever.

Specs: VMR V805 19x9.5 ET45 255/30/19 / 19x8.5 ET40 225/35/19

An an obligatory picture. I still have not done a proper shoot... depressing.

Edit: totally just realized you already did this and revived the thread to update... whoops. Looks great!

No man I actually haven't lowered just the picture makes it seem lowered I guess! I appreciate the picture. What's your review on them ?

I swear the M240i sits a lot higher than the M235i. Our cars look to be the same ride height and mine is on the springs. That picture was taken about 30 mins after they were installed though. I think they have settled in a bit lower. It made a huge improvement in my mind vs my stock height, but my fender gap was way bigger than what yours looks like.

Oh yeah, the car sits and looks so much better.

And the suspension mods have done more for the handling and all that than I could have imagined.
