Intake & Tune question

Hey guys - first post on here as I am new to BMW engines and honestly car modding in general. I have a 2016 M235i and have been doing my due diligence and research in regards to what mods I should do & in what order.

I want to put the Bootmod3 stage 1 on my car as well as the Turner cold air intake. (which is backordered until May) My question is: If I were to stage 1 my car now and put the intake on a couple months down the road - is this okay? Will I have to reflash it once the intake is on?

Sorry to be THAT noob - just trying to wrap my head around all this new information. Thanks in advance.

Yes that is okay.

You can add stage 1 to any setup, even a stock car

Bootmod3 Stage 1 does not require any supporting mods. Flash it and enjoy the difference

- Also, the intake will not net any gains, unless going big turbo down the line. The only issue that may arise is a CEL, and you can disable it with bootmod3.

No re-flash needed, flash stage 1 and enjoy.

An intake is only going to make a difference with higher level tunes like stage 2 or stage 2+.

If you're tuning it, I highly recommend replacing the charge pipe with an aftermarket option before you do anything else. You WILL blow the stock charge pipe.

Get the Dinan intake instead it's about the same new and can easily be found used here or in F30 forum. Do the CP too as others have said, ER is the best fit for your car. IC would be the next step after that.
