17' Wheels with Matte Black Plasti Dip

Hi, I have 220d with 17' wheels and I wanted to change the color of the wheels. What do you think about the color? Is it good?

Had black wheels on mine and wasn't too big of a fan. Ended up switching to a set of hyper silver wheels.

Those are the stock wheels painted (plasti dipped) black.

Interestingly me too In my country original wheel prices are too much for a student (aftermarkets are affordable but price is equal to my pocket money) so I decided to change the color because I think matte black is better than the normal color.

I think it looks pretty good. Kind of thread-jacking here but i don't understand why BMW puts matching body color mirrors on the smaller engine, cheaper 2 series models and gives all the M235i owners silver mirrors that clash with every paint color...ugh

Thank you for your comment I have the same idea about the mirrors but I want to say something about "cheaper 2 series". In my country (Turkey) 220d's are $70.000 so please compare 2 series' price in your country

I'm not saying the 220d is "cheap" by any means no matter what country or currency. It is, however, universally less money than the m235i and that is the point I'm making. Why doesn't BMW supply the m235i with body color mirrors when the cars lower in the product line get them?

It can't be less money we pay %140 tax for cars. I'm %100 percent sure a M235i ,which has my cars specifications, in most of other countries is cheaper than a 220d in our country. Even if they are same you can buy M235i, I can buy 220d. Answer for your question is I don't know

To the side note of the mirrors, I think silver is BMW's M Performance car signature mirror. I hate mine and they will be getting changed.

To the black wheels; I think black wheels get lost in the wheel well, particularly matte ones. In moderate to dim light or from a distance, you can't tell the appearance of the spokes. You can see this in your side view, but they look cool, even mean in the angled view. I think gunmetal or gloss black would look better, but then cost becomes an issue. I love the EBII, of course! Merhaba.

I'm not comparing the car prices country to country. Clearly cars cost more in Turkey just as they do in Australia and many other countries. No argument there. What I am saying is that the M235i no matter what country you are in will be more than a 220d in that same country, yet the 220d and 228i get body matching mirrors and the M235i gets silver mirrors regardless of the color car you buy.

Sorry for misunderstanding as I said before my english is not good. Yes you are right. I think BMW should sell M235i with black mirrors and black kidney grille

Merhaba you are right about color but I dont want to paint my wheels and as I said wheels are expensive so I think this is the best solution
