Good-Bye to My 2 Series
I have enjoyed my 228 so much more than I thought I would and, yet, for a variety of reasons I've said good-bye to it.
Just sharing some background on my latest YouTube entry in case any of these factors resonate here. (Also, some mod detail here for those looking to make changes to their 2). I'll linger around this community no doubt, as it's been impressive to see how wonderful this group is! Thanks for all of the fellow BMW love!

Having done the build-it-up-into-perfection-before-moving-on routine a number of times myself, I understand how needs can change over time. We have a very fun hobby.

Wish I'd seen your videos before, incredibly thoughtful and happily reasonable. PTSD is a real thing and can be from any number of traumas, recognition of it is an important first step to moving on.
My 2 has been my DD for the last 4 years and while I don't track it I have been doing local cross which has been so fun. Your experience drives your decisions, and I totally understand your need to diversify. My 240 blew the engine a few weeks ago and I'm dying to get it back with a new engine next week, absence makes the heart grow fonder in my situation. Thanks for your videos from the heart!! |

Hopefully not the Alfa Romeo Giulia - a few local owners have gone to them.

Looking forward to the next chapter in your series. I’ve enjoyed your content so far and a lot of what you’ve shared resonates with my car journey. I recently had a track day scheduled and wasn’t feeling in the right head-space so decided to sit it out. I appreciated your video about your similar experience.
I’m going to guess your next cars: DD: Lexus RC(?) Track: unconventional? rules out BMW unless it’s an estate car or something lol.. or maybe a 128i? I would have guessed a mid engine Porsche, or Miata/86/frs or something like that had you not said unconventional. Totally random guesses: 1997 Subaru Impreza…or a 128i.

My daily was just delivered by flatbed (something I've never done before) so I look forward to experiencing it and then sharing it on my channel. I have a track toy in mind and once I find one to pull the trigger on, I'll share.
