Again, I will repeat, you only get one chance to make a first impression. The blogs are slaughtering the car due mainly to the distorted fish eye looking pictures that were leaked,so saying its good PR is not entirely true. Press comes out Friday, where every media outlet for automotive use will be hit with official photos, but now runs the risk of people choosing not to even bother, thinking to themselves "already saw pics of the car, who cares."
If the leaked photos did not surface, the same amount of talk would be generated that you are claiming these leaked photos are, however the talk would be based around legitimate photos that are suitible to be completely judged on the finish product.

Welllllllll, maybe BMW should have debuted the official pics prior to the i3...or allowed for more camo to be lost over the last 3-4 months...the original red car pics were out a lifetime ago...people are dying to see this thing, and will take whatever they can get, even if the pics are grainy and from bad angles.

I was told by a friend who attended the x5 event today that the 2 series viewing at the event was closed and blocked off due to the leaked photos as of today.

No, he did not confuse. As the 1M Coupé (8:15) only goes 3 seconds faster round the ring than the M135i (8:18), it will be easy for the M235i (perhaps with LSD) to be faster. The interview was here:

Needs fogs in those gaping lower front edge vents, which are a bit overdone, but otherwise very nice. Pipes out back look disproportionately small for a performance car. (Or maybe I have spent too much time checking out the C7!)
