My quick analysis: Headlamps are taller in the rendering than in the photo, air dams below the headlamps aren't slanted in the render like in the photo. It's very close, but I'd go with (a very good) render on this one.

To what MegaMatt3 correctly pointed out, I will add that the kidney grille slats aren't vertical in the render, the render has comfort seats which the real car will definitely not have, Also the back end of the car is definitely way too pinched when you compare it to the front of the car.

An excellent render nonetheless.

It's not about who "believes" it's a render. That IS a render. Official pics haven't been sent out until today.

It's not about who "believes" it's a render. That IS a render. Official pics haven't been sent out until today.

I could care less if it's a render or not just wanted to get idea how it would realistically look I think this pictures shows it ... But ultimately waiting till the 25th lets see -___-

228i will have the same N20 engine as the 328i

I cant wait till ppl start ordering and leasing this car so we could start a thread on "leasing and purchasing question" to start getting some real deals on MF, residuals etc my patience is running thin ðŸ‘ŽðŸ˜‘

I would think it would be available, well it is on the 128i and 328i. A 228i with M-sport and manual, could be a very fun car. Kinda funny to think the E36 M3 had the same hp as what is to be BMW's least expensive car.

Yes the 220d is confirmed. I think there is also a 225d (euro) according to the VIN specs from a previous post.

The US M3 at least. Let's not forget that the ROW got 286 then 321 hp for the E36 M3, and that it was smaller and lighter than the E82, much less the F22. Hopefully the next 20 years get us some weight loss instead of just power increases.
