Ran my old 2006 535 and my old 2010 135i JB4 with Injen intakes and some other goodies. Never had any issues with JB4. I waited until my warranty expired before I tuned them though.

I custom ordered my 2015 2er, had 1 mile on it when I picked it up so I value the factory warranty. I never done Dinan before but I said F it I don't want to wait four years for the warranty to expire.

I'm at a stage 3 Dinan with Dinan CAI M sport exhaust factory LSD option MT 6speed.Freaking love the Dinan tune. Was better than I expected it honestly, And there is the safety of knowing your factory warranty is still in tact.

Careful though. I took my 2er into the DLR for routine 15k service and they "detuned" my ECM. Bastiges . Luckily my Dinan tuner was cool enough to re tune without charging me again.

I think ill stay with Dinan from now on. But everyone knows that aint cheap.

For you it may come down to how much you want to spend.
Both options are great IMO.

I'm saving up for the stage 4 and big turbo now.

They can "detune" a piggyback? How does that work? Just curious as I have a stage 1 Dinan installed. Thanks much.

yeah I am confused, how can they tune a piggy? couldn't you just set your tune to stock when going to the dealer too.

Also have you tracked your car. I think I am going to the drag next week with stage 2, and curious what stage 3 and 4 are putting out in terms of numbers.

Not sure how the hell they detuned it. Even the Dinan shop was like wtf? Soon as I picked it up from the BMW dealer though I could totally tell my performance was gimped hard. No CEL no indication of malfunction. Dinan shop said they have no idea how that happened. They retuned it and off I went, haven't had problems since. Now since there is an Droid app (this was before I knew about the app) for Dinan I can actually change the stages on the fly which is cool. I can also see which stage its currently running on.

No track yet =( nearest track to me is 3 1/2 hours way. I will get out there at some point though.

Hello guys. I have a 2015 n20 f30 328i m packaged. It lists that it contains 240hp. I was looking into JB4 tuning. I chose JB4 because i dont want to mess up my warranty at the moment lol. i am in canada and the price for a JB4 is around 700$. My questions are: 1) how much HP should i expect to gain for a stock map 1 JB4 tuning?
2) is the price worth the advantages i gain from a JB4?
Thank you guys so much. 😄😄

Hey Mike! And free shipping to Canada 🤩🤩!! And 50hp sounds honestly awesome!! Also i heard that its best to run map 5 or JB4 instead of map 1 because of the 91 octane. Is that true ?

map 5 is for the 320 Application not the 328
run map 1 on a stock car

Map 0: JB4 disabled.
Map 1: PWG models absolute target 21psi peak, EWG models additive 4psi peak over stock.
Map 2: PWG models absolute target 22psi peak, EWG models additive 6psi peak over stock.
Map 3: Progressive Methanol Injection. Requires BMS methanol kit or BMS FSB for meth pump control.
Map 4: Stock performance, JB4 on
Map 5: Absolute targeting map with a peak boost 17psi. Suitable for 320 & 520 applications.
Map 6: User definable absolute target map. Suggested for troubleshooting by professionals only.
Map 7: Race gas absolute target map. Peak boost 23psi. This is a fairly aggressive map and increases engine damage risk. Use with caution.
