differences between m235 mpe with m diff and without

title says it all. whats the differwnce between mufflers? is there a difference? is it just piping location? hangers? if anyone can shed some light this would be really helpful

I believe the MPE with diffuser has slightly longer pipes. Installing it on car without a diffuser would probably look silly with the pipes (and tips) sticking out past the rear bumper cover.

Both versions of the muffler will use all of the original mounting points, there’s no difference between the two in the sense that they bolt up in the same area without any modifications.
The Mperformance muffler with the additional exhaust tips (ie the carbon fiber tips) will stick out beyond the bumper without the mperformance or similar aftermarket diffuser.
It’s not major. But if your ocd like me. It probably will bother you.

If you have access to a fairly competent exhaust shop, they should be able to make the needed modifications to get rid of the extra length that causes the tips to stick out further without breaking the bank.

Or run the muffler without tips.
Who cares what the slow car behind ya has to look at as you pass lol
