Bye Bye 19' M240 M Performance

Well just like that my less than two weeks of ownership is most likely over. Going to work last Friday in a 50 mph zone a gmc work van made (his left) a turn right as I got to the intersection going 50 mph. I had no time to react and had no where to go. I just came back from the body shop and they had the hood open. The engine is pushed back pretty far and crooked. The door gap on the passanger side which wasn't touched was next to zero, and there is a stress dent in the A-pillar. They are pretty sure it's gonna be totaled.

Looking forward to this getting totaled and getting another one so I can enjoy it once it gets broken in.

Walked away with minor scratches on my left hand and right lower leg. Other than that I had a stiff neck and sore chest. Just hope to hear soon so I can begin the search!

Sorry to hear! The best thing is that you are OK.

If you can, take off some the goodies too, the rear spoiler/sideskirts, the carbon mirror cap, interior pieces

So in good news all is great. I have a dealer who is getting me another one. Gonna take a couple days. Unfortunately I'll be in Mexico so hoping we can pick it up the day after. Then for the dreaded break in period that I was already half way done.

Sorry man that sucks. I had the EXACT same thing happen from a left turn person. They couldn't see me coming due to car on my direction turning left as well blocking their view.

Literally for this reason I wish they'd ban left turn on solid green. It should be turn on green arrow only. I slow down and cringe every time I drive by an intersection with left turn yield on green

Picked up my replacement two nights ago. So glad to have it back again. Was able to locate the same exact car and get them to ship it to my dealer. Now time to break it in again....boring!

Glad to hear you're doing okay. Cars can be replaced, good news is the honeymoon ended unexpectedly, so it's that much easier to find a replacement "bae"

Do you lose money in a situation like this? Presumably, if it's totaled, their insurance would pay you the FMV of the car correct? Which is likely to be less than what you paid for even at only 2 weeks of ownership? Just curious, glad everything is okay!

Not at all. I actually almost made 8k off the accident just from the value of the car. Not sure about everyone else but when I got my car and have leased two with my wife they automatically have taken 3k off the top. Then I had $4500 or so in dealer incentives. I only put down my first months payment. So the payoff for bmw was about 47k and the car was still worth almost 55k so once bmw was paid off I got the rest of the cash.

Physics appears to have won again. Sorry about yur ride but more importantly you have all your fingers and toes! No, screw that, you made out on the situation. Lucky as hell actually.

Put up some new pics of your clone.
