Bm3 st2 93 octane help!

Hi everyone!

First off, thank you in advance for taking the time to read this! I purchased a 16 F22 coupe 8SPD about 1 month ago. I'm really interested in the BM3 ST1/ST2 flash tuning and was wondering if people had knowledge of the standard hardware upgrades which are recommended for ST2? From what I've read/watched, you can survive with stock hardware for ST1 but eventually I'd like to upgrade to ST2 (ultimate goal). I'd like to state that my car is currently ENTIRELY stock and the first thing I'd like to do to it is a muffler delete with this set of straight pipes (https://www.fabspeed.com/bmw-m235i-f...xhaust-system/).

If anyone has a concise list of recommended HW upgrades for ST2 93 OCTANE BM3 flash tune I'd love it if you share!

TL;DR - What hardware do I need for BM3 ST2 93 OCTANE flash tune?

PS - I am very much a noob in the modding community so if you don't have to abbreviate, please don't . Thanks so much everyone!

Big items for the ST 2 are going to be a charge pipe, intercooler, hi-flow downpipe or catless, and either a better air filter or air intake

Awesome, ty so much for replying! Do you have any recommendations of brand? Also is there a different between a front mounted IC and a regular IC? Which would be better?

Evolution Racewerks for the down pipe, change pipe and intercooler. Air intake just get $50 K&N drop in panel filter. Straight pipe will give you severe drone between 2,500 and 3,000rpm without a resonator. Neither exhaust or cold air intake do anything for power.

I will disagree on the drone comment, at least in regards to the Fabspeed setup that I have.

I'd go with a nice axel back exhaust if your going with catless dp. Muffler bypass by itself sounds good but you will get a lot of drone if you combine with catless dp.

I’m running VRSF everything (Intake, FMIC, CP, DP and muffler delete exhaust) it’s absolutely awesome! I just installed PS2 and upgraded LPFP/HPFP. I enjoyed the stage 2 before upgrading a lot. It was a fantastic setup. Mike at XPH can hook you up with everything.

OP make sure the Exhaust is a proven one with no drone. Most are fine (Corsa, Borla, M-Performance, etc.) On a previous build I had a custom set up which totally sucked! D-R-O-N-E central. Added a resonator and still didn't work...Tried capping off the J pipe set up rig and hated it still. Sold it , and bought a Corsa with a VRSF catted DP. Sounds pretty good actually. No vid for you but just do the research first.

Hey bud.
Hope it’s not too late to chime in.

For 93 oct stage 2 the only absolute mandatory minimum items to take advantage of the ots tune are

Upgrade:
charge pipe
Intercooler
If your n55. 1 step colder spark plugs. (Part # and gap on the bootmod3 faq page)

If your gonna play with burbles and want crazy gun shots pops and bangs. Then you need to go catless dp.

Feel free to reach out to me with any other questions. Or if you need help with the app.
There’s a great fb group with lots of info and helpful members too.
