BM3 Transmission Flash

I did the Bootmod3 transmission flash and only notice that it switches gears a little quicker. Anyone else do it? If so, what did you notice, if anything?

This won't do anything for M235i's. It only disables the 3rd and 6th gear software torque limiters, confirmed when I emailed PTF. These are already disabled/not used from the factory on m235i 8hp45, so you wont notice any difference. The change you noticed is due to the transmission adaptation values being reset with the flash, they will relearn in time. My car is away for winter, but I'll be flashing xHP once it comes out, which does change shift time/line pressure and other parameters even in manual mode. I changed the ATF/filterpan in prep, but there wasn't enough time left in the season to warrant spending the money on the flash (change your atf every 20-30k, seriously). I'll report back next year with a very detailed review of the xHP flash as pertains to the m235i, as soon as mines out of storage.

Is there a way to wipe its memory and reset the adaptation values at will?

I am assuming this is the machine learning part that tries to adapt to "how" each unique driver uses the car?

Thanks!
