Thanks, Distrikt. I have had BM3 since only a few days after my OP and I still love it.

For you Bootmod3 users, could someone please comment on how the tune impacts the different driving modes (eco pro, comfort, sport/sport+)? Are all modes changed? Is there the same sort of difference in throttle mapping between modes, but all of them with elevated boost? Is eco pro (hopefully) unchanged? I’ve looked a fair amount on the PTF website, and in the forums, but I haven’t been able to find anything definitive. I guess I’ll know soon enough, since I placed an order with XPH, and I’m just waiting for the enet cable to arrive. Oh, one more question, can the initial flash/unlock be done with the OBD agent Wifi device? My laptop just died, so if not, I’ll be bringing my iMac into the car.

This thread has gotten a bit stale, but just to say that my car got serviced the other day at ~27K miles so I "stock and lock"ed it first, and then reflashed with what is now OTS Stage 1 (91) v4.4, and it's even better than before. Smoother but even perkier. If you haven't updated yours for a while, I recommend you do so.

Bootmod3 Stage 2

I, unfortunately, don't have dyno results. I too was looking for more info on the BM3 tune and couldn't find much out there, so sharing my experience in hopes it might help someone take the plunge.

I initially flashed the BM3 stage one stock map with only an Injen intake and noticed a big difference right off the bat. The response and pull of the car when I stepped on it was VERY smooth and noticeably more power. It didn't experience any lag like when I had the Dinan clip-on tune. I recently installed a Wagner catted DP and bought the Stage 2 map - it has changed my car. I used to have to put the pedal to the metal to pass people on the highway at higher speeds. Now, I just moderately hit the gas and the car moves.

It is more noticeable in sport mode, but even in comfort, it is a big difference in power.

Does anyone tracks his car ? I want to do Stage 1, but the stress on the car during track days is already high, not sure how safe this would be without upgraded internals.

As far as supporting mods for BM3 I already have all and more and looking into a bigger turbo so I can keep the temps lower if I increase boost.

So if anyone can share experiences with track days and BM3 it would be greatly appreciated.

Tempted to switch to BM3 OTS Stage 1 and wondering what the differences (and hopefully improvements) will be. I am happy with the performance of the piggy-back but wish it was a bit smoother in the mid-range.

Each option has its pros and cost. The biggest flash tunes advantages are smoother power delivery and ability to increase the burble sound

This is the age old argument - piggy-back vs flash tune.
