Thanks, I did more research and found west end. I will most likely go with them or EAS.

I finally got to one of the local tracks (firm in starve fl) ts feel great, turn in is better, more sharp. Steering is less vague. I even dialed out some camber. Tire wear was great.

Grassroots motorsports runs a 235i magazine car there. They are down to 1.27 times with motion control suspension, a tune and some other items. It is a brutal track on the cars brakes, and tires, lots of turns. If your car feels good here, your set up well. I was turning low 1.24s, think there may be a mid 1.22 with subframe and diff bushings upgrades next.

Bottom line is the car is getting pretty close to prepped race car times, with still being a streetable car.

Some great info here guys. Just pulled the trigger on the LCAs and Tension Struts myself. Also getting some of the Vorshlag camber plates to accompany. Will report back with how things go. Does anyone know the torque specs for the tension struts per chance?

I found the LCA specs in another thread:

Lower control arms to knuckle 122 ftlb (165 Nm)
Lower control arms to subframe 74 ftlb (100 Nm)

Is it just the same?

I have a manual at work, will check the specs. Subframe may be higher on ts.

The LCA's and tension struts have the same torque specs. The bolts to the subframe are one use stretch bolts. The spec is 74 ft-lbs +90 degrees. The nuts for the ball joints are also supposed to be one use as well. I was more concerned with replacing the stretch bolts than the nuts. Oh, the knuckle torque sounds about right, I know it was 120 something ft-lbs, the exact value escapes me.

Hope this helps!

31106797237 hex screw with collar for LCA to subframe
31106795930 hex screw with flange for tension strut to subframe
33306787062 combi nut x2 (optional, but advisable)

from what i can gather on real oem

Yes, those are the nuts and bolts that I was referring to. Good luck!

How are the F8x TSs + LCAs working out? Any issues, or do you still think that this setup (with the spacers) is solid and robust for road and track use?

And for spacers, you still recommend:
Thickness: 0.25" outer / 0.50" inner
I.D.: 0.50"
O.D.: 1.50" (thought I read elsewhere in the thread that 1.00" O.D. was used)

I used the parts listed in my post above, they fit perfectly, 1.5" OD

Awesome...I think I'm gonna give this a go.
So you recommend the 1.5" OD over the 1.0" OD, right?

I have the Dinan monoball kit. Any chance this will fit with the F8x TS?

I'm going to assume not given they have a different part for the F8x, but maybe just different spacers?

The F22 kit has 5 bolts.

Interesting...so you went with 1.25"/30mm OD?

It seems people have had success with a range of ODs from 1.00" - 1.50" ... From those with experience from having installed them, is there an ideal OD, or is anything in the range equally effective?

Mine are actually marginally smaller OD than the TS bush OD by about 1mm. All i could source at the time. There're stainless steel so material is more than robust enough for the purpose they're serving and stresses placed upon them are minimal in comparison to what the bolt is under. Mine are getting installed on the 6th Sept so will post if any issues are encountered (which i highly doubt they will).

The TS bushings are aluminum, right? Any reason you went with stainless rather than aluminum for the spacers?
I was thinking if there was any wear point between the TS, spacers and mounting point, worn spacers would be the easiest/cheapest fix... As long as they don't wear to the point of failure!
What's the consensus on stainless steel versus aluminum?

The mating face on the subframe is steel so I went with SS spacers so as the interface to oem bush is the same.
