M Performance Electronic Steering wheel won't turn on

Any one ever have a problem with the steering wheel failing to start? Worked great for a week, then it just won't come on. Any sort of reset ?

Happens to mine intermittently. I've found that if I depress the start button once to turn the car on, let the car boot up for few seconds and then actually start the car, the wheel works every time.

Didn't work for me. waiting now for dealer to figure it out. sucks. other than this issue my experience with car has been flawless.

Got this fixed. Had a loose cable that cause my wheel and day time running lights to fail. They fixed it quick though

I'm having this issue now in my 2016 F80. Just randomly won't power on. Start up screen does not come on and even after restarting the car it doesn't work. Then all of a sudden it will start working later that day or the following day. I will update the thread once my dealer looks at it.

Yeah something is likely loose. Dealer should fix it under warranty. Good luck.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but did you ever get to the bottom of this? Having the EXACT same issue with my 2017 F30 335d.

Most of the time the wheel powers on with the car just fine (rev lights come on in sequence) but every now and then it’s completely dead. If I lock the car and go back to it later and try again it works fine!?
