m240 MPE vs Remus Axleback

Hey guys,

after looking for days and reading tons of reviews. I've finally narrowed down to two options:

a) Remus axleback with Dinan Midpipe(or dual reasonator delete at local shop)
b) M-performance exhaust with Dinan Midpipe(or dual reasonator delete at local shop)

any recommendations?

I've read a lot of conflicting reviews for the MPE as well, some saying it's not worth the money, not loud enough and some saying that it sounds really really good so a little hesitant.

The one major advantage I see for the remus is that it retains the electronic valve cover so would allow softer sounds in comfort and louder in sport, however from what some reviewers have said, MPE isn't that much louder to start with so that shouldn't be a problem.

The advantage for the MPE is that it's cheaper since I can keep the stock tips

Looking forward to the feedback.

MPE, sounds great, not too obnoxious, coupled with a downpipe and/or Midpipe and the sound is vicious. Plus under warranty.

I did downpipe(not much more than mid-pipe) and MPE. The sound is incredible!! If I could have heard the remus, I might have considered.

I had heard MPE and that's the one. Someone just recently posted a source to buy somewhere at a great price....Don't remember since I had already bought!!

Curious why Remus axel back with Dinan mid pipe instead of a Remus cat back?

One thing I like about the Remus is that it can use the valve so you can go into comfort to not be as loud.

I have a CG downpipe, Dinan midpipe and stock axleback. I keep flip flopping on which to get next. Remus or Dinan. I've read Remus is slightly deeper in tone. Never heard it though so can't confirm.

What I can tell you is the midpipe alone was a nice step up in sound. The Downpipe is 200cel and is now even nicer. Way more pomonant overrun and it's loud. In the best possible way lol. It's funny, it seems a lot of people who do their exhausts in parts tend to start at front of the car and do the axleback last. Or leave it stock because the sound gains of the midpipe and DP are enough for them.

joke57 , here's a video : I went with the Remus axle back and custom midpipe, I showed the shop the dinan midpipe and they built me something similar. I wrote up a review on it if you search my other threads

MarkDemma , the reason for that is I had a budget in mind for my exhaust and didn't want to exceed it.

@MarkDemma, yeah that's the main reason I went with Remus vs MPE to keep the functionality since every now and then my wife and 6 month old ride in the car. Wife was super worried about me getting an exhaust since my gt86 was insanely loud and droned, but this one does not bother her at all.

Question: Is the valve on the Remus controlled manually or only through car drive mode?
