Cool stuff. We can't get away with that in stolid old Michigan but you have a new car culture.

This is so weird, cuz half of the people said the spoiler is amazing and half said it need to be removed. When I take part in some car show, same thing happen. But I pretty love it, cuz Im get tired what it look like without spoiler.

Love this kit, looks great. IMO spoiler would be ok if it wasn't so aggressively huge. Downforce must be amazing though.

I am seriously considering doing this with my soon to be delivered m240i. I have learned that the cost is probably about 10K or so, installed and painted after taxes.

I know generally you don't get much back of what you invest with mods but what are people's thoughts on how much more the car would be worth in resale after install of the wide body kit.

I am thinking probably 5k more...

Mods rarely increase the value of a car and they often decrease it.
The main problem is that most people have little or no regard for mods, so the market is always very small, and market size dictates price.

I'm thinking about $5k less to get that thing off the trunk and refinish the lid and cover my inconvenience while that's happening.

If no wing, probably no change up or down unless you happen to find that one "needle in a haystack" used car buyer who's ready at just the right time you're ready to sell.

No offense, just not my style. I'm an older owner and a little more conservative.

looks great. color is real nice. I would buy a secondary trunk, use that for daily, and when you have a car show, or a track day you can use this trunk.

The spoiler is a little aggressive, if you had the M Performance, GTS or similar looking, you could probably get away with it.

You now have an excuse to buy a CF trunklid.

Color is great. Body kit looks good too, but a bit aggressive. Wing - ahhh, don't think so. Overall, not my cup of tea, but I'm in the 50+ age demographic. I'd rather be a little stealthy. Increase in value? I wouldn't hold my breath. I'd guess any potential pool of interested buyers for this car just shrank by at least 75% if not more. The cost of mods in general, even performance ones, typically don't pay for themselves at the time of resale. The value of a mod is to the owner who is making his or her vehicle something more to their personal liking. If the OP is happy and enjoying it, that's what it's all about.

Looks good. Wing would be fine if it had further track-oriented mods such as half cage + harness, BBK, etc. But as is, looks kinda poseur-ish. Just my opinion, of course.

If you are going to spend 10k in mods get an M2 instead, and it will retain more value than your modded m240i.

^^^This, for sure. Mods are for you, not the next guy - thinking of them as any kind of appreciating asset is nuts. Many people (including myself) will see mods and assume that the car has been thrashed on, so either a downgrade or a deal-killer. Modders might do better upkeep/maintenance, but that can't really make up for the potentially huge increase in wear and shortened lifespan.

But congratulations on having one of the most extreme looking 2'ers. It really is a very good looking kit.

i like the b58 over the n55...smoother and much less turbo lag...plus i prefer the ride comfort of the m240i...if the m2 offered the b58 with an active suspension i would have been all over that...if the body kit was a 5k addition...this would be an easy choice
