I have several posts in this thread regarding my switch to Brembo pads. I started with factory sliders on my 230i, then added the M Performance brake upgrade that came with M Performance pads, then switched to the Brembo ceramics.
summary: performance is equal to slightly better than M performance pads in daily spirited driving. Dust is about 40% of M performance pads--much more dust than I have gotten using akebono ceramics on previous cars, but also significantly greater initial bite than those pads on those cars. |

I added back Ferodo DS2500 part numbers...someone seems to have deleted them from the spreadsheet.
on that subject, anyone have feedback on those vs EBC yellow? FCP Euro now carrys the Ds2500's so lifetime replacements would be nice |

I posted my experience with Brembo ceramics 2 posts above this one and a few other times in this thread. Mine were for the M performance calipers but I believe they are the same pad as yours. No noise, fit like OEM, see above for further details.

So I just realized on Brembo website, there is 2 pads available: Premium Low-Met OE Equivalent Pad Set PART #: P06088 Premium NAO Ceramic OE Equivalent Pad Set PART #: P06088N Looks like you guys tried the Ceramic version that has lower dust? Has anyone try the regular Low-Met style? |

So I just installed a new set of EBC Red Stuff brake pads on my M240i, and I’m having a difficult time finding proper bedding procedures.
Some posts I find, say to drive 100 miles and then an additional 200 street miles before attempting to bed them, and other posts say to just do a few 50-0 60-0 70-0 brake attempts around the block to bed them… which should I go with? |

- EBC's Red Stuff page: https://ebcbrakes.com/products/ebc-r...ic-brake-pads/; which points to their bed-in procedure: - https://ebcbrakes.com/articles/bedding-in/. Even though EBC refers to that as their EBC Yellowstuff Bed-in Procedure, I seem to recall a similar or the same general procedure when looking for their bed-in procedure a couple of years ago.

By the way, what do they mean when they say “leave 300 meters between each snub” “Perform 6 high-pressure snubs from 70-10mph with a maximum acceleration between consecutive snubs” |

I'm no expert, but EBC's bed-in procedure seems unusually fussy for street pads, even when the owner is going to drive aggressively from time-to-time. I guess we can assume EBC pads aren't going to work optimally (or very well?) if their procedure isn't followed. An example of a much simpler procedure is the one that Hawk recommends for bedding-in their street / street-track pads (not their motorsport pads): https://www.hawkperformance.com/how-to.

Finally got around to replacing the OE pads and hardware at ~39K mi. Pad thickness was still ~75%, but I was tired of the brown dust and the high metal content in the OE pads wearing the rotors. I used:
Front: BREMBO P06088N (Daily Driver) NAO Ceramic CENTRIC 11734047 Rear: BREMBO P06087N (Daily Driver) NAO Ceramic CENTRIC 11734046 As expected, they are quiet and low dust. The initial bite and braking force is definitely lower than the OE pads, but perfectly acceptable for moderate to spirited street driving. So far, I like them and glad I did it. And, that was an EASY job. Cleaning the calipers and wheels was the hardest part.

i recently changed my rotors to powerstop slotted and cross drilled and reused my ebc yellow. only reason i went slotted and cross is because i got all 4 for free but what a difference. Solid bite and firm braking that will lunge you forward, the stock rotors were good but these new ones are awesome. so far no noise or scraping have about 300 miles on them.
