Question, how long does it take for the car to go from getting a production # (which I have) to actually being in production?

That's a good question - I don't know if there is a set answer, as I think it depends on the specific car you are having built versus how many of those the particular factory is building per day, month, whatever.

Maybe someone else with more knowledge can chime in...my guess is that if you have a production number, it won't take too long.

I just received my production number yesterday, and my CA told me that was a week 9 build allocation. He said that was the expected completion date, but I wonder if he wasn't totally sure what I was asking. From what I can find online, it seems about a week to build the car, so even if it's a week 9 start, then that would be about a month between production number and build.

Who knows if that's accurate at all, just relaying what I've heard so far.

Call 1-800-831-1117 and speak to a rep, give them your production # and you'll get a more accurate time frame.

My car got to production complete today. It was production started yesterday, so I assume it finished up today. Now the wait till it ships!

All you guys with production numbers, question for you. 2 weeks ago, my $2,000.00 initial deposit to start the production was taken out of my account. 6 days later I received an E-mail confirmation, but there was no production number. Now here it is 2 weeks have gone by and I still hadn't received a production number. How long does that usually take? The dealer just said they would keep me posted. It's frustrating!

I got a production number as soon as I ordered the car. Dealer sent me the official order document via email, and it was on it. My only issue was he originally put the order in with run-flats and all-season tires, neither of which I wanted. He fixed that, and sent me a new document. It shows neither run-flats or all-seasons, so my assumption is I then just get the standard set-up(mixed Summer tires with the high-speed limiter).

I am now confirmed to be on the VOLANS LEADER. The GPS put it somewhere in the English Channel as of 2/3, we are plotting the progress as she makes her way to the US.

Apparently the boat mine is on is due to dock in New Jersey on February 15.

The worst part about tracking your boat is that brief time where it disappears for about 2 days!! then you search it again and bam its almost to the port

Mine is at port waiting to ship. It sounds like it is about 3 weeks to make it across the Atlantic then? I had mine set-up for delivery in April, but for some reason it got built early. If it shows up at the dealer in March, he may just hold it for me. I got the Summer tire set-up and don't want to deal with snows until next Fall.
