Thank you my man.

My dad had BSM on his Z4MC, and it was a cool color. Looked grey, purple, and obviously black depending on the light and time of day. I think it will be nice on the lines of the 2er.
No doubt.

Yeah the car comes to life in the darker shades of MG or BS.

You now have a new part-time job!!!

Good choices! I've ordered the same black on black for my M235i.

The Canadian website is just awful. I don't think it even lists the 2 series yet. Don't ask about the configurator either. My CA says we can't track Canadian production numbers. We have to wait for a VIN.

The 228i at Detroit was in BSM. I was really happy with the look on this body style. It definitely showed faint hints of purple from some angles.

I was just taking a look at the Canadian site, to see if I could figure it out - but you need to register a car in order to get a login (I think).

And you're right, they don't even list the 2er yet.

I thought the BSM 228 @ Detroit looked really nice, and those wheels really set it off too, unlike the wheels on the M235 at some angles. But no need to discuss that again here.

Yeah it looks good in those pix.

Very grey from many angles.

It's definitely subtle, but I have always thought it was there, on his car at least.

Cloudy/overcast days if I remember correctly. I will be sure to post a lot of pics and we can debate.

Just talked to David Aviles - the car is at the dock and should be on a boat any day now.

The last time I had a car built, I was lucky enough to get on a ship that had GPS tracking...I put up a map with little red dots in my office...people thought I was fucking nuts, which was hilarious.

Hoping for similar luck thus time.

You can create a "MyBMW" account at the Canadian site without registering a car, but it's awkward to use.

I tried to order the 235 with the 228 wheels, but no go.

Your build looks almost identical to mine, except I didn't select the sunroof option and I went for the he aluminum instead of brusbed.

I tried the same thing with the wheels and was given the same answer.

Not sure why that would matter - you know there's bound to be plenty of each type, and at the same factory to boot.

Well congrats. Hopefully not too long for you now!! Looking forward to hearing your real-world review.

Which 19"s? I like the ones from the Las Vegas Press Show but in polished.

Also not sure on the exhaust if an Akrapovic after-market option but intensify the sounds a little more

I am hoping it isnt too long either--for the life of me (it has been 5 years) I cannot remember the average time it takes for the boats to make it over to the New Jersey port.

Gonna have to do some research in the old E90 post threads....

As for the wheels, I like the ones that are both black and grey--they are the current upgrades for the M135 too. I wasn't a huge fan of the ones on the M235 racing car, but maybe they would look better in person.

as for exhaust, I am going to break the car in and let the choices come out...maybe do something in the summer?
