coolant level sensor

Hi Friends,

My low coolant level keeps going off on my 2001 230iX. The coolant level is fine so my guess is a faulty sensor. I don't see the sensor listed anywhere as an individual part and I have no idea where the sensor is located. I'm guessing the sensor is part of the expansion tank. Does anyone know if the sensor is built into the expansion tank and I need to get a new tank?
