It only had an overheat warning after it had already burned off all the coolant. Nothing at all while trying to get it off the road and parked, but definitely was complaining after I parked it.

Today, after being notified of their existence by a kind soul on Next Door, I found my "turn signal" stalk. Tell you what— total game changer. Can't believe I never thought of it.

Installed the "M" pedal set today, funny the car came with the "M" footrest already. Then my blacked out sequential turn signals came in the mail today so on they went. I like the blacked out look better.

Brought my car in for the last complementary service. Will be checking out 2 BMW mechanics. Either P and S Granville Island or Nixon Automotive in Burnaby. Recommendations?

I was a bit leery given the price but they fit perfectly and look really good. Not as bright in the daylight as the stock and no "telltale" light at the end (to be seen from drivers seat) but I really didn't like to see that little light flashing any way. But yes I recommend them. If your mirror glass has a black surround, pry from the bottom first, mine was just a glass edge so after a little heat from a heat gun (cool today) I started the pry at the outer edge. It is a bit scary prying on the mirror glass of a new car but it popped right out. The Amazon box was exactly the same as the box in the AliExpress link above, had the trim tool and a T-10 "L" wrench.

DIY!. Almost everything is easy, just check youtube or Bentley manual for F series. Hit up this board for torque specs if you need to. Save a ton of dough.

3 things happened in the past couple days.
1. Added an classic BMW "Bavarian Motor Works" windshield banner (sourced from Acromann) to keep the sun out of my eyes on the morning commute now that I'm back in the office. Looks great. 2. One of the sideskirts grazed a big rock in the parking lot at the zoo and now has an unsightly blemish. Maybe it'll buff out but the paint was a little goofy to begin with (the origin is apparently Turkish?) so I'm not particularly hopeful. 3. The front passenger seat has something wrong with it and no longer goes forward and back, just torquing in place. Probably a burned out motor or something in the track. Some preliminary research suggests one of the plastic guides might be stripped which unfortunately seems to require replacing the whole seat. So I guess I'll use this as an opportunity to upgrade and started looking at racing seats. I've been a long-time admirer of Recaros Sportster CS/GT's and Cobra Nogaros. Got any advice on either model, and/or mounting bracketry? I don't care to retain the power seat functions, but don't want any error codes.

I drove it up the Ohio River, crossed-over at Maysville, and came back on the Kentucky side. It's a terrific day for a drive here: low 70s, low humidity, and not many people out-and-about.

Spring cleaning of both the car and the garage today. Also, PFC track pads and stainless brake lines arrived in preparation for first day at the Glen this month! My car will sound like a dump truck in traffic by end of the day tomorrow.
