P0446 Evap Vent Control Circuit

Hi All,

I have a 2017 M240 xDrive Convertible, 55K miles, bought new. A few weeks ago the check engine light came on, then cleared a few days later, and then came on again recently. Car was at the dealer yesterday, who said the gas cap wasn't sealed and cleared the code. Can't say I'm surprised that the light is now back on, less than 24hrs later.

I pulled the code and it's a P0446 as mentioned in the subject. I see there are a few possible causes (including the gas cap), but I was wondering if there are any common failures on the 2-series. Car goes back to the dealer Monday, but I'm pretty annoyed and hoping to go in with some info.

Thanks!

Did you manage to get an answer from the dealer? I'm having the same issue on my f30 340i.
