Are the M235i and 2017 M240i mufflers interchangeable?

I have an Active Autowerke's muffler from my 2016 m235i and will be purchasing a m240i next week and was wondering if the M235i muffler will fit the M240i?

They have different part numbers, so I'm guessing they're not interchangeable:

hmm... the drawing of it looks the same except for the exhaust valve location. I'll just hang onto mine and when I put the 240 on the lift I'll see if it will work. Thanks for your input!

They look very close but not quite identical.

The hangers look to be in the same place but the box itself looks wider on the 240. The angle where the mid pipe connects is a bit off as well.
