Why on earth would you remove them ?

I disconnected the wear sensors and have them zip tied to the chassis. I swap pads between summer pads that I track with and winter pads. cant really plug and unplug wear sensors every time I swap pads without breaking them and I dont need them since I check the pads a couple of times a year.

If you solder the two wires together that might beat the system.

Or just remove the sensors from the pads and keep them plugged into the wires you have tied to the frame.

Yep. That’s what I did and that’s why i haven’t had a problem in the two years they’ve been disconnected. It looks like the car software is expecting pad and wear sensor replacement after a certain mileage or it thinks wear sensor is bad. Getting a scan Friday to see which it is.

Make sure your parking brake is off when you attempt the reset.

Check all of them to see if they are all still plugged in, one may have come loose or broken by road debris.

Mystery solved. Even though wear sensor was plugged in but disconnected from pad and zip tied to chassis, somehow it all of sudden the wear sensor was sending a bad signal to computer. Replaced wear sensor with new one and all is good now. reset worked fine.
