Bilstein B16 coilover thread count for initial install height.

Howdy,

I just got a set of B16 co's and am waiting for the supporting parts for the install (maybe) next week. I am stoked, and can not wait to get these on the car.

For those that have these co's, would you be willing to count threads or take a pic of you spring seats? OR possibly measure the distance from the base of the threaded body to the base of the spring seat?

I read through the directions and didn't see any suggested thread count or measurement. They list max and mins, but no initial suggestion.

Thanks a ton if you can help!

josh

PS for those interested, my set came with some minor damage as well. Nothing too bad, the worst being a bent mount tab on one of the front struts. One of the thread bodies on the front strut is a bit boogered up, but the threads are still ok enough to spin the collar. I got a smoking deal on these as they were originally returned due to the customer ordering the wrong part number, so fine by me....

i actually was looking for review of the B16's on a F22 this morning!

I don't have coilovers, but I am interested on your take on this setup.

OEM for now.

Millway Streets are backordered. And I am frankly fearful of the others due to noise. I have had my fair share of co's wirth camber plates, and none of them were "quiet". That was fine back in my Subaru/Mitsu days, and I tried them all for the most part. There are folks here who clearly love the upgrade for the performance and can live with the extra NVH and click and clacks.

I will eventually more likely get the Millways down the road as the reviews for them have been pretty awesome. But knowing the disaster that is the supply chain at the moment, I didn't want to wait for months to get suspension on my car. I called KW and Bilstein and apparently I may have got the last set of co's in the country from either company. KW said 10-18 weeks (V2, V3, DCC, didn't matter). Bilstein had no idea when they would get more in.

So afte hours (if not days) of debating, I ended up ordering OEM.
