At what mileage did you do change your brake pads?

I replaced them at 5,000 miles with Performance Friction 08 pads for the street and the track. Now, how many miles will the factory pads last? I depends in how you drive and where you drive. Highway deriving is obviously easy on pads. Stop and go not so easy on pads.
