The Nitton NT-05 is a little wider than most street tires, but not as wide as the extreme high performance tires (ie. Hankook RS-3 or Dunlop Direzza DZII) that would likely require a fender roll. Most normal street tires should be able to fit in these tire sizes, but we have not had the luxury of testing multiple tire fitments on this car yet.

With the offsets and sizing in this thread, are you offering a forum/special/group buy price at this time? I am potentially interested in the Anthracite variant of the wheels and sizes you show here, please pm me if so.

We are not currently hosting any forum specials or Group Buys for the wheel fitments that are compatible with the 2-series unfortunately. We may host one later in the year, but that has not been confirmed yet.

Yup, definitely interested in what ARC-8's look like.. as well as 19" fitment.

Coming from an e36 3 series, with the sidewalls the 2er (and new 3er) wears, it makes the wheel diameter seem smaller (Makes these 18's look like 17's to me)

Unfortunately the 18x8.5" ET45 and 18x9.5" ET58 fitments are not included in this Group Buy due to low inventory levels which would not be able to fulfill the volume of Group Buy orders. When we replenish the inventory later in the year, we may host a separate Group Buy for these specific sizes.

I think this will be my next move. I have an EBII M235i and am leaning towards the staggered EC7's in Anthracite. I love the Michelin Pilot Super Sports I currently have and would prob get them with the new wheels.

My question is will the 1.5 inch wider back and 1 inch wider front improve handling. I know staggered is not ideal for track use but I would think the extra width and the same rubber should help grip. Any chance it could hold 1 lateral g or might performance be reduced? Any thoughts?

Also the example as Nitto's will the super sports fit the same? The wheels look like an absolute perfect fit and it would be nice to fill that gap without spacers.

or are these just half inch wider front and 1 inch rear? I think the stock staggered widths are just a half inch apart? Regardless I think these are the best wheels out there for fitment and looks. Close to stock appearance.

Think I'm actually falling in love with the ARC-8's in Hyper Black. That finish looks really clean. Are there any fitment issues with that staggered setup on the 235? Should the Pilot SS fit fine? Any chance you have photos of those installed?

So I went to install my new Apex EC-7s, 18x8.5 (ET45) Front and 18x9.5 (ET58) Rear with 245/40-18 Michelin PSS front tires and 265/35-18 Michelin PSS rear tires.

In order to get the 265s to fit, some of the splash guard material had to be cut off with an air wheel. But so far, no rubbing. Result: Satisfied.

The 245s in front? Not a chance. Once the wheel and tire was mounted, it wouldn't even turn. I had to put the stock 225s on the 18x8.5 Apex wheel. Result: Unsatisfied.

So, anyone have any advice on how to fit the 245s in the front on the Apex EC-7 18x8.5?

Please help.

Thanks for sharing, and we are sorry to hear that you had some slight difficulties.

225's tires are recommended for the front if you are looking for a "bolt on a go" type fitment, but 235/40-18's are also doable depending on tire brand. In some instances, small 3mm or 5mm spacers may be needed to clear the front struts. For those looking for more front end grip, and may be tracking the car, 245/35/18's can be done up front but it will definitley require 5mm spacers for strut clearance. Now that inner clearance is okay, we must fight outer fender clearance issue's with the fenders. This can be addressed by installing M control arms and/or aftermarket camber plates. The overall goal is to dial in enough negative camber to gain wheel/tire to fender clearance, but and it is important to note that adjustable camber plates will work best. The M control arms provide a limited amount of negative camber, and although it may be just enough to fit the 245's, your setup may still rub over bumps and under hard cornering. With adjustable camber plates, you will have a much wider range to work with. Please note that precise negative camber requirements will ultimately depend on tire brand and how low the car is, but I believe -2 degrees should do the trick.

As for he 245s in the front, Ryan's info is spot on. You will need camber to run those tires. I would suggest the bolt on M4 LCA upgrade as fore-mentioned. This combined with a minor fender roll up front should get you going.

Hi oCN55,

I'll have to have a friend take pics for me this weekend since I'm actually on crutches for the next few months.

But verbally, the way I got the rears to fit was the installer had to get a cutoff wheel and cut a piece of the plastic sleeve that covers the rear shock. This is for both sides.

In addition, we had to cut a bit of the insulation (splash guard) right around the plastic fuel filler neck on the passenger side. Be very careful here - obviously.
