I'd be interested in MP Exhaust plus possibly a FMIC and intake upgrade but not sure if its worth going thru a Brisbane dealer

I bought all my parts overseas, landed price is cheaper than buying local... and I don't get it fitted at BMW of course.

I went with the Tuningwerk exhaust instead of the BMW Performance... I should have a video up soon

Hi Webbit where are those prices from? The dealers? The exhaust seems ok as I think I was quoted 2.2 a few months back.

Hey guys. Getting an M240i delivered in April. Plan to order an M performance exhaust off ebay from UK. About $1300 AUD. Seems all legit. I I've seen vids on youtube with people with an M exhaust also get a little remote to turn the exhaust into sport mode for louder exhaust. The exhausts on eBay say nothing about this remote. So I'm not sure what I'm doing really. Anyone able to shed some light on ordering and then getting fitted here in Australia. Thanks Dean

there is a valve in the muffler that opens and closes with the selected driving mode, sport / sport+ ( & secrete track mode ) being open and louder with more of that sweet over run.
this is all done automatically but some aftermarket units don't have the ability to plug into the car's electronics for this so they are either always open or have their own switching solution via said remote.

the M performance unit should readily plug into the existing solution so you don't really need a remote for it.

the remote does let you set exhaust independently from drive mode but there are ways around that anyway

also, not sure of the exact threads, maybe some one else will post links, but there r few going over the options for exhaust upgrades here in australia. personally i'm not sure you need to import all the way from over seas.

i got a Remus axle-back and fitted it myself, there's some youtube ads for remus including some "euro-style" ones where he fits a unit to his Golf waiting for his date to get ready

G'day,

I'd be interested to hear where you got the Remus in Australia also.

Thanks! Ken

Speak to Julian and Mettams mufflers in Morley, he was able to do a better price on my Remus than dealing directly with Remus Australia.

Hello everyone!

Anyone know what’s happening in Melbourne price talking?
I called south yarra bmw to get the price of the front lip for my m240i. Seems prices bumped up, now it’s $940.

Anyone got one of those recently?

Cheers

Definitely better than $940!! Thanks for the link!

I saw the prices previously published here, less than $700

I guess bad timing...

Funny you mention timing, I'll be selling my euro division mp style front lip (lower section painted alpine white) in the coming weeks if you're interested

2020 Update

For sh*ts & giggles I went and got a price list from Canterbury BMW the other day so in case anyone is interested in the following:

Steering Wheel M Performance #32302230188
$1110.51
Gear Selector Switch M Performance #61312250698
$336.20
Centre Console Cover M Performance #51162343740
$257.70
Handbrake Grip M Performance #34402222539
$265.40
M Performance Carbon Mirrors Left #51162211905
$514.60
M Performance Carbon Mirrors Right #51162211904
$514.60
Carbon Fibre/Alcantara Interior Trim RHD (Doors, Dash etc) #51952333985 $1716.20
BMW M Performance Brake Kit #34112221447
$3136.10
M Performance Pedal Kit #35002232278
$247.60
Stainless Steel Dead Pedal #514724133361
$251.80

All prices were inclusive of GST. Seems like it's all about 20% more expensive than overseas with the exception of the brake kit once you factor in taxes and shipping. I'm still new to all this - have only done the gloss black grilles so far. If anyone has some advice re: buying from overseas it'd be much appreciated.

FYI Aliexpress has a lot of options way cheaper than that, I got mine there, M3 style and fit is great. Carbon looks very good too.

Get on it Avdo and Max!

Those MP brakes are good value at $3,200.

Everything else listed on the parts listed is near full retail cost, QLD BMW can almost all get those parts for less. The MP Interior Kit is only $1,050 from QLD.

Just double checked this - they've added two rotors (34206797598) seperate at $475.30 each. So it'll probably be about $4000.

Sorry to get everyone's hopes up
