Upgrading your DRLs to CS/CSL yellow - easy DIY

Hey yall!

I wanted to share out my latest DIY for my M2C, as I am upgrading the DRLs from stock white the the CS/CSL style we see on the M5 CS, M4 CSL and more.

I love the way this works, and it is an easy install, but does have a serious 'gotcha' if you miss it. When reinstalling the drivers side assembly, it is VERY VERY easy to scrape off a resister from one of the boards, and if so, its ruined.

Not that I know this.. or would have done that once.. or.. twice.. or... three times..

Check it out and see if this upgrade is something you want to do too! All links for tools, LEDs and so on are in the video description!

Neat mod, but I would be wary about using double sided tape to hold these on. They are mounted to a big heat sink for a reason and to thermally insulate them is asking for early burn out of the new LEDs. Better to use a glue that transfers heat than foam tape.

Excellent point and I have thermal adhesive on hand as well. I have seen it installed with 3M several times so starting there first. I have to pull one side again soon and will check it and glue if needed.

Do these work on the regular LEDs the same as they do on the adaptive ones you have?

So very likely yes, but confirm before you order. I LOVE this upgrade.. makes me smile every time I walk up on the car.

Does it look strange with the white main beams on and yellow DRLs? Got any pics?
