I'd check the bimmercode website to see what adapters are recommended.

Only ESYS would allow such a change, BimmerCode, by nature, doesn't grand access to the module necessary (EDC).

Yep, bimmercode is less advanced than protools. Protools claim you can access every module of the car, so it should be pretty much the same as esys.

I used the bluetooth one CX something or other,
but I got mine of amazon
it was cheaper

How did you guys manage to code via BimmerCode ..

-Show current gear in dash,
-Door handle lights on during reverse, or the welcome carpet light on reverse,

and could anybody help to fix the issue with my Headunit option on BimmerCode that it always says "Error while reading coding date" which I used to be having third party CarPlay that it's been removed right after the last update by the dealer.

I would highly recommend this app to anyone. It was super easy to utilize and backs up your settings in case you need to revert your changes.

For some reason only my passenger mirror folds in automatically. Is there not a motor on the drivers side?

If one folds then they both fold unless the motor has gone bad in the drivers side mirror.

Did this issue fix itself? Just coded the digital speedometer and my fuel range went up from 170 to 230 miles.

I exit the car all the time with the engine running. But my guess is you mean after you have shut off the engine you want the ignition to stay on?

Yes, in parking light mode with my engine on... the low beams are also on. But when the engine is off, the low beams are off. When I want to take pictures with the angel eyes on, I want to use parking light mode since it is dimmer.

Just turn the lights off with the engine running and you will still DTR going (angel eyes). That is unless it is a Canadian thing with the lights. You can set the brightness level for the DTR in the iDrive.

Yea, I can do that. I was just hoping there was a way to have the car not idle since PCV issues arise on B58 when idling. I found a workaround for now. You can put the car into parking light mode while it isn't on ACC or Ignition mode. I can't find the setting for DTR brightness in iDrive, and the BimmerCode option for changing DRL doesn't change anything for me.

Hey curious if anyone has had success coding LED turn signal’s recently? I bought LASFIT LED bulbs on Amazon and they fit right they have the correct 180 degreee offset, and they light up. But the car has all these malfunctions with them. I bought bimmercode hoping I would be able to fix it but even after coding them as LEDs the car still throws error codes.

The weird thing I noticed is the malfunction will only start when it’s dark enough outside. If it’s daylight they seem to work okay. So something about the auto trigger for night time gets them to act up. The whole car dings repeatedly and lighting malfunction won’t go away.

Start Logo display?

There is an option for the Start Logo in the instrument cluster, and Bimmercode doesn't allow me to set the correct display. (this might not be a Bimmercode issue) It is an option for in the instrument Cluster options under KOMBI_CT_RD1 that says "Display Options Instrument Cluster" - Start logo, and it allows selection for various start logos - however there is not an option for 230i. Available options in my f22, 230i are: 50d, 135i, 140i, 235i, 240i, 340i, AG, M Performance, MW, MW Competition, M2 CS, M3, and M4. I've user Bimmercode with no issues in the past, with no issues, but don't understand the lack of an option to display what matches my car.

It is not Bimmercode's issue but rather what is available on your Kombi unit.
