Best product to remove salt from caprpets?

I've been pretty diligent about keeping my car clean during the winter and have the BMW winter mats installed, but still have some stuck salt around the edges...
Favorite product to get the salt out??

Thx!

Yes, or just about anywhere else (Amazon, Walmart, etc).

Ok thanks I'll have to try out. Was trying to find a similar product that works well. I'm annoyed of using vinegar and having a vinegar smell that lingers

By winter mats do you mean rubber mats?

If yes then clean them with citrus apc and warm water, then once they're dry give them a coating of Koch Chemie Gummifix, it's silicon free and safe to use on rubber.

I believe they mean the salt still gets under the rubber mat onto the carpet, like in the corners. I have the same issue with my weather tech in certain areas... first winter with them I was expecting more from them tbh.

Get some Tuxmats and you won't have to worry about salt on the carpets again. Incredible mats.

Took a look at 'em before buying these but they didn't make a set for the E9X. But yeah they definitely seem to better. Wish they did. My issue is right where the pedal and to the right wall, there's no wall on my weather tech. But at least it's better than the BMW all weather thick rubber mats I had. Just have 2 salt lines.

I just add a bit of baking soda into my normal wash soap mixture. It neutralizes the road salt..

If you want to do a deep clean on your carpets and think there may be salt/dirt embedded in them, you can try using a sander and a vacuum.

Take the sander WITHOUT sand paper on it and place out on the carpet. Start your vacuum and the sander. The vibrations from the sander lift the dirt/salt and allow you to vacuum it up while it is being vibrated off of the floor. I do it and it works!

Search YouTube/google for videos if my explanation does not make sense.

for the really stubborn crusty salt or staining use boiling water then soak up with absorbent towel or extractor.
