Need help on wheel selection to clear AP brakes

I'm looking for some advice on wheel selection.

Bought some AP radical 6 pot calipers and 383mm discs

I need wheels that would clear them and really want Apex ARC-8, i would prefer to stay 18", can anyone point me in the right direction of size and ET to buy. Would prefer not to use a spacer if i can.

My standard 18inch wheels aren't a million miles away from fitting so hoping not to go to big.

Pictures might hopefully help

Sick brakes btw, I’m curious as well. Anybody know of any 18” wheels that will clear a big brake kit?

You can email apex btw, they provide lots of help with BBK clearance. I did the f80 f+r brakes on my car and the arc-8 18.8.5 et38 do not clear. Apex EC7 has the most clearance

Was it the rotors that didn’t fit or the calipers?

Calipers didn’t clear the barrel.

To add, the 1 series (e82) group is a good source of wheels that will work.

You had the standard 4 piston front / 2 piston rear setup correct? That should fit on an 18” wheel.

Yes, 380mm fronts and 370mm rears.
Not all apex arc8s are made equally. If you go to the apex fitment page on f80… they specify that only some arc8s have bigger barrel clearance designed for f80. The ones that fit 2er (18x8.5 et38) are not part of that.

That sucks to hear, this chassis is somewhat problematic when it comes to finding the perfect wheel/tire setup.

The VS-5RS wheels were my top choice, however I’m trying to stick with a square setup and a lower offset but it doesn’t look like that will happen until some suspension modifications are done. Titan 7 TS-5’s or BBS RI-A’s are my next option. But it looks like some camber plates and other mods will be necessary regardless.

Sweet, how do you like the Ohlins Coilover system?

Hey I bought the same front wheels and doing some rudimentary measurements it’s not looking like the 4-pot Brembo calipers will clear the barrel (even if you clip the anti-squeal weights on the pads). Did you get them to fit? I’m also on Ohlins w/ cambers plates btw.

World Radi-Cal II calipers are designed to fit 19” wheels but will clear certain 18” forged wheels with large frontspacing and maximum barrel diameter. Specific Forgeline wheels will clear the CP9562 caliper and 380 mm-dia rotors. Brembo GTS with 380 mm-dia rotor setup has the same issues with 18” wheels - very limited 18” will clear the caliper. You’ll need to print their caliper fitment template and try it on 18” wheels to find a set that fits.
