Really comes down to a few things:
Fuel economy - got about 210 miles per tank (17gl) vs 310 per tank (13gl)
Maintenance - m3 out of warranty, was running bigger tires (19" 295/265 respectively), oil changes and also coming up on 60k maintenance.
Car was bigger than what I needed for living in a city. Was really considering an MY'15 Mini Cooper S

The "M tax" is real! In all seriousness though peace of mind from having warranty and maintenance covered was key. The F80 M3 wasn't in the budget so this was the best option. I do miss the M3 but glad to have experienced it for 5 years. This is a fun little car and maybe an M2 will be in my future.

Just curious why did you go with the lightweight front lip? and not the M performance front splitter? Considering you got the rear spoiler from M performance.

I really didn't know how low the front would sit on coils so clearance was a concern. I also knew that if I got the MP lip I would have painted it so should anything have happened to it it would have been pricey to replace. I went through 4 lips on my E92 M3.

So this was a good value that required no paint and provided a "similar" visual effect as the MP lip. Personally I think it looks great!

My favorite lip on the M3 was the Revinora R-CRT street in carbon fiber. If someone ever releases something similar to that for the M235i I'll be all over it! I believe there is something similar out there for the 335i so I'm keeping my hopes up!

Would you mind posting some more pictures of the front lip? Especially now with the sticker taken off? I like it so much more than the M perf front splitter. Much cleaner and more subtle. Beautiful car man.

How stretched is the 245/35/18 on the rear 9" wheel? I have a customer going with 18x8.5 and 18x9.0 HRE FF15's and I was thinking of recommending upping a size in the rear. Any insight would be great.

Assuming the offsets are the same you can go with a 255 setup on the rear. Will match the look of front perfectly. 265 would most certainly rub with my suspension setup. I plan to go this route assuming the car doesn't sell before the rears wear out.

*just noticed that you are suggesting an 8.5 in the front. The stretch will look the same using OEM rubber with an 8.5" front and 9" rear.

It is indeed an OEM MP diffuser. Painted EB and gloss black.

Hi, beautiful wheels. The hype about the aftermarket wheels needing to hava crazy concave effect is much exaggerated (although - like most here - I like that effect too), here there is almost no concave - and look at that beauty!

Do you think the same wheels but 19" (8x19 ET40 and 9x19 ET 44) would fit with 235/35 front, 255/30 rear? If so my search is over...

Can't confirm 19" fitment. The rears had enough room for a 255 tire. Fronts had a 10mm spacer so your mileage will vary depending on the offset. Take a look at the wheels and tires section for some examples of what others have done. As for the suspension settings the fronts are at the lowest setting and the rears close to 3/4 of the way down.

Also, there's an estriol blue M135i across the pond that was running 19" BBS CH-R that should provide some guidance for you. A Google search or browsing that section of the forums will help. I did a ton of research there before pulling the trigger on this set up.

Good luck!

What front lip is that? I really like how simple it is, instead of going with splitters and lip.
