That's very cool. A lot of times it is just the novelty of it. Super awesome that these are actually great cigars that you really enjoy!!

I like them when I smoke them but hate them the next day.

I use a punch, I specified my lighter needed one. The cigars I'm choosing most often are pre-cut. Still, the volume of smoke just doesn't match what I see from other people at a party, or on TV. By comparison if I were to smoke a cigarette I'd have 2-3x the smoke, even after actually inhaling, and with much less force

Ask Bill about his multi-function cigar.

Boating with a cigar is great. Not something I do too often because we are typically wake surfing and I am jumping in when not driving.

The porch is also my regular (nightly) spot. Wife will usually come out and hang for the first hour.

What's it going to be tonight?
For me probably San Cristobal Quintessence!
San Cristobal is one of my favorite cigars out on the water. I also like the Perl Del Mar (PDM) Shade. And if you have a Total Wine near you, their house brand is actually really nice. I'd like to know who makes the cigars for them.

A fellow soldier friend once said that the next morning, his tongue tasted like the entire 25th Infantry Division marched across it.

Ya, it's definitely a good one!
I have not tried the PDM or Total Wines house brand. I will give them both a go.

I have had a number of friends say that if they could avoid the affects (taste, smell, etc) the following morning they would smoke more cigars. I have never really had this issue. Shower, brush my teeth then mouthwash and I am good to go. Wifey has never had any complaints/issues with it.

Yes, for mitigation of any negative effects! I need to remember this. I have at least one cigar every night but I sometimes forget the bourbon to go with… Not that I don't absolutely love it but it has a slightly larger impact on the following morning than the cigar solo.

Cigars are bad for your health, marijuana's better
I enjoy cigars too much to venture out. 😀

My dad once told me that smoking Cuban cigars was like smoking an old, rolled up Army blanket.

That's a unique analogy haha! I've yet to have a Cuban. Hard to trust what's authentic and what's fake. Do they live up to the hype?

Thinking about trying a 'My Father'. Any recommendations?

There is a big misunderstanding out there regarding Cubans. A lot of people that may not have a whole lot of experience/knowledge in the cigar world mistakenly make a general assumption that if it is Cuban it is "top notch" or amazing. This is not the case. Just like any other region known for cigars, there are varying degrees of quality. I have had amazing Cubans i.e. Montecristo "A", Cohiba Siglo VI, Hoyo De Monterrey, etc… Then I have had total junk Cubans. It being Cuban by no means automatically makes it a great cigar.

It really is hard to go wrong the anything in the My Father lineup. Haven't had one that I didn't like.
