Porous ZF Auto Transmission

Anybody heard of a "porous" ZF8 Auto Transmission? Apparently the casing is "porous", i.e. transmission fluid over time will seep through. No repair option other than replacement.

That's just not true. ZF8HPs have repairs done on them all the time.

If the case gave out somehow I could believe a full replacement would be in order.
