I'm at 29K miles on my 2015, no issues really except for the rear taillight socket issue which BMW replaced for me even being out of warranty.

N55 seems to be one of the more reliable BMW engines. If you look around on the forums (2er, 3er) you don't usually see many people posting topics of their N55s failing either.
Just picked up a 2016 M235i Friday with just over 31k miles on it. Wanted to ask you if this post is still true and your current mileage?

At about 53k miles right now. PCV valve crapped out and it's built into the valve cover so you have to replace the whole thing. Took the opportunity to replace the valve cover gasket. Haven't had to do OFHG yet. Charge pipe blew and taillight ground went bad. Those are the only problems I've had so far and they're all common for this car. Also for what it's worth I'm running JB4 map 1,occasional map 2, but blew my charge pipe when the car was stock.

Any car will start to have fairly random problems around 50K miles. The driver's side door latch on my 2015 235 failed a few months ago at 45K miles. It would randomly stay locked when I tried to open it but I could unlock it with the central switch. I finally got tired of that and had my trusted local indy replace it on Friday to the tune of $612! That included $288 for the part and $275 for almost three hours of labor at $100 per hour.
But I own the car, so $600 is less than my monthly loan payment was. If the car costs me that every few months, I am ahead of the game. Plus, I love this car!
I kept my 325 for 13 years, until the bits literally started falling off it at 160K miles. The same indy shop told me it was time to ditch it. Luckily, the 2-series had come out the year before, so I scooped one up. No regrets.

51k miles on my 235, and not a single issue to date. FWIW, 55k on my wife's '16 X3 and not a single issue there either. We've owned a handful of BMW's over the years and found them all to be very reliable cars. I can't say the same for others we've owned, from Porsche's to Honda's. Just lucky I guess??

60k miles on my 2015 M235 xDrive. No issues to date. I decided now to change all "lifetime" fluids: front and rear diff, transfer case, Auto Transmission - also planning to replace battery, but those are difficult to get right now. Still on my first brakes.

I also have a 2016 X3 with 89k miles. No issues to date either. Hopefully this post does not jinx it...

I am at 50k on my pretty newly bought 14' m235i and think my solenoid needs replacing, forgot the code we got, but it was that related code so I'm waiting on that inexpensive part. Run's fine though, idles well just seems like bellow 2.5-3k their isn't as much power & torque as there should be? but comparing it to my 08 335I so different n54 motor. above 3k in sports mode it's got great power. Any suggestions as it should have max torque at 1.5 rpms? correct ?

Due to the whole virus situation my car has barely been out of the garage the past year. Car has done just over 66000 miles and still going strong.

Did a 142 mile trip today with zero complaints

EDIT: Enjoy the car. If yours is as good as mine, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
