Creaking or spring noise after camber plates
I installed Millway Street camber plates. When moving the spring perch bearing (thrust bearing?) from the OEM mounts to the Mllways, the right one was clicking a little. After installing it and the camber plates, there is what is best described as a creaking noise when either first jacking up the front right, or turning the when when first driving the car. I'm pretty sure there is no rubbing so I'm guessing the bearing has failed? Just wanted to check with the F22 gurus here before ordering the part.
Also, any risks driving if this bearing has failed, or just the annoying noise when first driving? Or, I shouldn't rule out this noise is from something rubbing. I did dial in more negative camber on the camber plates. It making the same sound when jacking up the car makes me think it isn't rubbing though. Last edited by MassNerd; 07-05-2022 at 11:56 AM.. |

Solution found. Spring wasn't seated right and just needed to loosen the strut mount and rotate the spring a bit.
