Sport Display gauges
I just bought this 2014 M235 with 7100 miles on it. I ave a couple questions. I had the sport display gauges on the screen today and did a third gear roll out and the HP gauge was dead nuts between 300 and 400 Hp which I would assume is 350. I had a passenger verify this later on with the same scenario. I know it's rated or under rated at 320 HP, how accurate is this gauge? I don't think it was previously modded because I was told the low miles were because the original owner used the car to drive to Florida every year.
Second, I bought it from a BMW dealer and verified that the brake fluid flush and oil change was performed but when I asked him if the coolant had been flushed and filled the service tech said it wasn't necessary until 100k miles. My previous BMW's had far more frequent intervals. I know it's super low miles but being 5 years old I'm wondering if I should really have it done. Thanks in advance |

After 5 years, you definitely should change the coolant. Probably better off every 2-3 years. You should change both the main radiator as well as the intercooler radiator using a vacuum filler.

The sports gauges are based off the position of the throttle, drive mode and gear, they do not actually measure torque/hp
in real time, just an electronic estimate. |
