2021 m240ix dragy results

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forums and I joined because I plan on doing alot of work to this car and want to show you updates on times along the way.
It's a 2021 m240i with xdrive. I wanted your thoughts on this first dragy test. It was considered invalid but just barely.

Jb+ max psi setting
BMS cai

Wife and 60 lbs of tools in car to keep in mind

Roads were wet tonight so I didn't go past 60 but I thought this was a HELL of a 0-60 time and I think it could dip to 3.6-3.7 in better conditions and less weight. Thoughts? Seem accurate?also almost 2 [g forces lmao

Have you run 3.8s multiple times? That does seem fast. Once in a while I get a reading I don't trust like my bone stock RWD M240i doing a 4.87s on 235 width snow tires. Even on sticky 265 width summer tires, most runs at barely below 5 seconds (although I have one run at 4.37s).

I ran a 3.9 and a 3.8. using launch control. I definitely think the AWD here is what's getting the numbers so low. Rwd I believe should be getting low 4 second 0-60 with a good hook up. I will do a 1/4 mile time tomorrow and post it. I am going to get a catless downpipe and switch over to jb4 soon and will run it again to compare as well. I do think realistically I shouldn't be running a 3.8 just with a jb+ and a intake. So I'm surprised

I want to do more. Warranty makes me nervous though. Very least I want to get a downpipe and exhaust with some better tires

X-Drive makes a world of difference. I’m RWD and have run 3.7 (3.5 with rollout), on 265 MPS4S but I try not to get too wrapped up in 0-60 times. It’s a losing proposition against AWD. Over on the F30 B58 forums, FBO X-Drive cars are running 0-60 in the low 3 second range.

Bone-stock 2018 M240i xDrive convertible; consistently 3.9 (lowest run dipped to 3.8)

I thought my Dragy was broken and ended up returning it as I didn't expect such a low result. Did a few runs on different evenings. Temperate weather; dry roads. Summer tires PS4S

I was quite new to the car at the time, and expected runs in in the lower 4s.

Then I come across posts like this and think that perhaps my Dragy wasn't so optimistic after all.

In all honesty I still don't believe it haha

Yea it's pretty nuts running high 3s to 60. This car is phenomenal. Unfortunately I still haven't found a good back road to get that 1/4 time but I'm assuming very low 12 or like 11.9@ best. Gosh there is so much I want to do to this car but the warranty worries me. This is my first bmw and the stigma around reliability scares me a bit. I know I want to do some exterior mods.. I also have been looking into lowering the car....but how would that work out with the adaptive suspension I already have that came with the car...I'd rather not mess with that.

By the way. I was looking at getting a crankcase breather from vtt on x-ph. I know it says it frees up some ho due to less crankcase pressure. Does it also include more longevity in engine health? Only 99$ so I figured why not.would a catch can be worth it to go with it?I also bought the intake hose that removes the piece before the bms cai. It gets rid on the intake resonator and accordion part. Was only 69$. Should I notice a louder sound now and even a tiny hp gain ?https://burgertuning.com/products/bm...31937360134259

I am with you. I am unsure about the adaptive suspension and how it may react to modifications. Haven't touched it.

By the way, you mention a crankcase breather. Can you link that? Thanks man! Seems like a good idea

That's the one I just bought. From the research I've seen it may give u a few ho...nothing crazy. But it's mainly for extended reliability I believe and lowering the pressure in the crank. Keeps your intake cleaner as well. I figured why why not. I also got the intake hose that furthers the bms cai and gets rid of the silencer and accordion and smooths out the airflow a bit and hopefully more noise!

And yea...I wanna do some suspension stuff but I'm worried about affecting the adaptive suspension...unfortunately even in sport mode I can tell there is alot of more improvement needed. Still too much body roll and it needs to be lower.

Yes, of course you can; all that's necessary is that you shop harder next time.

Hey, I'm looking into getting the crankcase breather filter. Did it clear your hood no problem? I have M240i and how is it working for you?
