BMW Launches M235i / 2 Series Online Visualizer and Product Microsite

BMW has launched the online visualizer and product microsite for the just revealed BMW M235i and 2 Series Coupe. The 2 Series visualizer lets you configure the M235i and 2 series in its various exterior colors and wheels, as well as the different lines and the M Sport package.

The 2 Series microsite also breaks down the various highlights of the 2 Series Coupe, including Design, Lines & Equipment, Dynamics, Efficiency, Services & Apps, Driver Assistance, Comfort & Safety, and more. There's a particularly cool design comparison against the BMW 2002, the 2 Series Coupe's spiritual descendent.

Exactly. I've never understood the M-sport colour combos. There should be more colours available for the M-sport over the standard ones since you pay more for the package..not the other way around!

If they really want to throw VO into the mix, I think I'd rather see them keep it only on m-sport lines or the m235i exclusively.

For some reason the front end in that configurer looks off and I've actually rather liked the front end from the promo pics

I love the 2002 and the reference to the legacy...
But didn't they already play that card with the launch of the 1-series. Recall my YearOneof1 commemorative book having page after page of comparison to the 2002.

Sometimes my wife still catches me, sitting in the living room, all alone, reading my 1-series book. So excited for this car.

This appears to be a great car on paper. So great that there is no reason to buy a 4-series unless the 2-series has an interior built of hard plastic materials like the X1. And chances of that being true are extremely high, unfortunately.

So, is this car supposed to be another 2002 reincarnation? I'm getting sick of that...even on the E82 it felt a little inappropriate. Just leave the old cars alone...don't use them for marketing.
