I own an E92 328i and I think the side form looks very similar. Really tired of this garbage from 1-series owners. I think the overwhelming majority of bwm owners, non-bmw owners, and excluding the 1-series owners would find this to be the more attractive car. The M235 should look very good.
Does anyone else think the car is sitting much lower in these pics than in the spy pics? If the stance is this low I find no issue with the height of the ride. |

At first glance the new 2er side profile looks very similar to the E82. But actually the new 2er does have sleeker look.
Side windows look more stretched out, especially rear. Giving to the roof line a lower look. |

I have had 2 E82s and I think this, and the M235, are going to address the major issues I have had with my 135s--the front end. I have really enjoyed my E82s and really like them from some angles--but the front could have been done so much better, AND still retained a look that was different than the 3er, 5er, etc. of the relevant time period.. They have made the front look aggressive without making it look just like the 3er or 4er...and there's room to grow if there's ever an M2, styling wise.

Looking past the color which is not for me and the 2008 VW wheels, this is a home run. 4 series is too big and IMO seriously stupid looking in non-msport guise and anyone who says the equivalent 128i is better looking is delusional. Bravo BMW!

Rather than the taillights I'd be more concerned by the fact that the only petrol options are the 220i and 235i! On the other hand 218d, 220d and 223d are the diesel options. Was hoping in the 228i or 225i in EU (maybe to be introduced later)
I'm in for one and I would chose the 2er over the 1er anyday |

Looks nice, except for that color! Whether you call it champagne, goldpagne (thanks, Apple), metallic beige, or whatever, that color is for old-people cars like Camrys, Avalons, and pretty much any Buick. I don't care what the designers or marketeers might think, or whether gold is a popular color in China, that color is just plain wrong on a BMW!

Sick car!!! BMW always does it big! The M235i will compliment my 2014 535i nicely as the daily driver.

"So new and already a classic."
Yes, yes it is. Very elegant and right-sized, yet understated, at least in non-M guise. I think it looks terrific, and I'm a major e82 fan. |

The only problem is if BMW goes crazy with the packages. According to the BMW USA website, the only way to get xenons (a must for me) is to get the Lighting Package. To get the Lighting Package, you have to get Premium. What should have been a $900 option is now all of a sudden $4500! At the end of the day, I'll most likely stick with the M235i. The sound that thing makes is worth the 4-6MPG you lose haha
