Can't wait to order mine!!! Depending on price but I'm going for the M235i or at least the 228i M-Sport.

After looking out the cars length/width. How useable are the backseats or are they just for show essentially? And how does the backseat compare to the 1 series and the E92's?
Would it be comfortable sitting 2 adults in the backseat of the 2er? |

I actually think that the 228i m-sport will be awesome, but i really haven't had much seat time with the 4 turbo. My guess is that the weight will make it very well balanced.

As a 1M owner, I say the M235 and 228i both look fantastic! The only things that I question in the design are the large diffuser and the hood line (ala 3 series). I have a strong suspicion that the 228i Msport with LSD is going to be the pick of the litter unless a true M2 comes out!

Performance numbers look great. But the design of the car is too plain. I don't understand why BMW is in process of fusing the headlights with the grills on all models, but not on the 2-series. It already looks out-dated. The front looks boring even with the M-sport and I don't even want to start about the rear....the taillights are the ugliest I seen in years, it looks so narrow and blah. The whole car looks squished together from the side.. hopefully the sedan version fixes this?

Not to mention it's a huge $11k cheaper. That's easily enough to get Msport and a few more options and still be under $40k. Definitely makes me think.

Dear BMW,
Good job! I bought an f30 and and an f06 this year and I don't own either one. mostly do to driving dynamics or lack there of. Judging by the options of a mechanical LSD and Michelin pilot super sports, it looks promising that this model will have driving dynamics as a priority. I look fwd to doing business again Roy

I can see a kick-ass M2 trying to get out of this rather politically correct, modern and elegant M235i
If it happens and if BMW decides to do it right, without considering market overlap, what it would do to M4 sales etc., which for me also means that if it mixes the best attributes of 1M and M235i, that M2 can be better than both and a very attractive small M car indeed. This is my hopeful side, a bit day dreaming a M2 CSL too; my practical side tells me that after all these strong numbers (including a price ready to fly away with options), accessories, M Perf. parts etc. there may be a slimmer chance of seeing one Guess we need to wait and see.

Geez.... this means BMW no longer makes a naturally aspirated inline 6 anymore. Not that I didn't know that it was coming, its just weird that this day actually is upon us now.

The price gap is huge considering the options list. Either one is the perfect replacement for the E46. Great job BMW!

Just hope those led headlights a la 7er from the sketch picture will make it to the LCI. MLSD will for sure be a pricy option. All in it will sure be a great car..hope this car will spawn a gran coupe to rival de CLA, not to mention a M2 GC.
