This is one sweet car (m235i)! Return of the e46 is right. Now also give us a sedan please!
Ok so comfort, sport and sport+ will feel the same suspension wise then ?

Sorry but that sounds pretty ridiculous. And even more so coming from a 1M owner. The 1 series coupe rear is less attractive than this.

I'll start off on a positive note, I really like the cars looks in the official photos and not some hack job pics.

But yes I have to agree a tad bit! It's about 2-3k more then I expected, especially being that a 335i starts at 44k.

But I guess they'll justify it with all the standard equipment.

ED for me on this car, hopefully I can haggle my dealer a bit.

Looks like the DCT is history. That should result in greatly improved highway economy.

Best BMW in the lineup. It's what the 4 series should have looked like!

I'm glad that they putted LED tail lights, i'm not digging the F30/F32 rear lights...

That's like, your opinion man. The 1M looks mean. But to each his own.

It has to be 18s on the red car. They look too small for the car and too small to be 19s.

Also a bit disappointed as to no official weight for the M235i unless I missed it somewhere.

Disagree highly, however yes i'm bias. I think the rear of the 1 series is its most attractive point.

I believe it will a better judge once the honeymoon phase of this car is over. Of course everyone loves it when its a new BMW. We'll see how it last through time tho.

Just as I predicted.
CLA45 AMG starts at $48375 for what it's worth.

They are pretty close in price, but at this point, the 2er is a winner for me.

Dude, our car is ugly, but the rear probably is my favorite part- to an ugly car.

Ugly? I wouldn't say that. I've actually gotten more compliments about my 1 than any other car I own.

Again, everyone has their own opinion.

The more I read into the specs and press release, the realization is hitting me that with the 'retrofit' M brakes, suspension, and LSD... this will be knocking on $60k

For all three of those, probably. Unless you select no other options.

I agree that the front of the E82 is the weakest part from a "looks" point of view, and that the squatty rear is one of the best attributes.

I think the M235 can be greatly improved with a aftermarket diffuser.

I'm also curious as to what the optional wheels will look like...and the pricing on all the optional performance goodies

EDIT - so the standard brakes aren't as powerful as the E82 135 ???

That is a good strategy to replace the high end model with M235i (just like Audi's S). So why are we still stuck with the 335i and 435i when literally they can rebadge them as M335i and M435i with the performance stuff?
