But yes I have to agree a tad bit! It's about 2-3k more then I expected, especially being that a 335i starts at 44k. But I guess they'll justify it with all the standard equipment. ED for me on this car, hopefully I can haggle my dealer a bit.

Looks like the DCT is history. That should result in greatly improved highway economy.

Best BMW in the lineup. It's what the 4 series should have looked like!
I'm glad that they putted LED tail lights, i'm not digging the F30/F32 rear lights...

Also a bit disappointed as to no official weight for the M235i unless I missed it somewhere.

I believe it will a better judge once the honeymoon phase of this car is over. Of course everyone loves it when its a new BMW. We'll see how it last through time tho.

CLA45 AMG starts at $48375 for what it's worth.
They are pretty close in price, but at this point, the 2er is a winner for me.

The more I read into the specs and press release, the realization is hitting me that with the 'retrofit' M brakes, suspension, and LSD... this will be knocking on $60k

I think the M235 can be greatly improved with a aftermarket diffuser. I'm also curious as to what the optional wheels will look like...and the pricing on all the optional performance goodies EDIT - so the standard brakes aren't as powerful as the E82 135 ???

That is a good strategy to replace the high end model with M235i (just like Audi's S). So why are we still stuck with the 335i and 435i when literally they can rebadge them as M335i and M435i with the performance stuff?
