I like the front end. The F30 front never grew on me... if they fix the electric steering I'm gonna seriously look at this to replace my e90.

love the front, hate the rest...
it looks too high and too narrow maybe because i got used to the superlow and wide look of the 4 series which blew me off my feet when i first saw it in real life wasn't a fan in the first place maybe its the same with the 2 series for me. hope the 2series gc grows a bit in every dimension |

Much improvement over last generation 135i and current hatch yet the roofline is still too high.

Nice but i am not selling my 1M coupe for it. It doesn t have the wide stance of an ///M
Maybe an M2 could change my mind. |

Front bumper looks sexy!
Not feeling the hood very much. Side profile is very similar to E82 Overall, the front end would please more people than the E82. E82 front end is an acquired taste lol. Side mirrors are ugly...should've been red or black. As a whole, I'd say this car is shaping up very well. |

I don't know. It looks good. Nothing too special from these angles. BUT, who's buying this car because of its looks anyways?! You may be wasting lots of money if you were.
Lets see some numbers. Numbers people! |

For BMW, this is kinda difficult, no ? (M -> ?) So they call it M Performance, but putting "M Performance 235i" on the boot would look very stupid. So it's labeled M235i. And M division has put work into this model. Otherwise, the M235i wouldn't run same times as a 1M car. Besides, all this M is just marketing. Do you really think that BMW's top engineers do not work on both standard and M models ? That BMW and M are two different companies ? Yes, on paper, they are, to be able to brand-protect the letter M, but in practice ofcourse they're intermixed. |

Can't disagree. Again, at this point, to me at least, looks are not a big priority. BMW has lowered my expectations on so many levels with the f30, that any decent mid-size performance car will win me over again. If not then the e92 may be my last BMW for a while. And from what I have been reading so far, the M235i has my attention. Last edited by Falafel Combo; 10-22-2013 at 05:30 AM.. |

the proportions of this are nearly identical to the E82....except it's larger and has softer lines. I'm not sure I like the front end very much as it has lost the 'old school' BMW look in favour of a newer era of BMW design----but I think it will appeal to a more mainstream audience. That's a good and bad thing IMO.
