Any idea if the M235i will be included in the BMW CCA discount program?

  • World debut takes place at the Detroit NAIAS show in January 2014.
So stay tuned here, as next month begins the birth of the 2 series.
When will dealers start taking orders?

I don't think there's any production numbers you can get....yet. I'm thinking that will be next month when the internet reveal of the 2 series surfaces.

However, you can get your spot put in awhile as dealer inventories are showing allocations.

I've been confirmed that my allocation for my M235i was in my dealer inventory last month.

According to a few dealers, there are some M235s in 112 production status - which basically means you have a spot in line and it will be an M235. But you can configure it any way you want at that point.

My understanding is that it isn't yet known what all options will be available - for example, I am curious to see if the LED lights will be on the list...

cool thanks. I basically e-mailed my dealer and all he said he saw was 135i's and that that production was ending in october.

I am curious about the LEDs as well. Something tells me they are not coming. I think I saw one of Jason's post talking about LEDs, but I have yet to see any on any of the test mules. I guess it makes sense I guess since the F30 wont get LEDS until LCI and it would be weird to have a lower model have an upgraded lighting option.

Hopefully I am wrong

What about the infamous fully uncovered red M235i spy-shots [link] which clearly show the squared-off LEDs?

I'm really looking forward to the LEDs but I will pass if the price is anything like the ones on the 4 series which costs more the pro navigation!

The angel eyes are LED, but the headlights themselves do not look like the LED type. If you look very closely, in the spy shots you can see the round Xenon Bulb. All of the current BMW's that have LED headlights are very distinct and have that horizontal square instead of the xenon project. The spy shots look like regular projectors since they are black and circular.

To me, those look exactly like the Xenon headlights from the F30

You are right! I did not realise the difference between the two without seeing them side-by-side. Anyway, it would be weird to have the 2 series with full LEDs while the F30 does not.

This would be my question as well. Any news about this? I am looking forward to the new 2 series like all of you and can't wait to see the price list.

BTW: This is my first post here, hi all!

Is this schedule officially confirmed?
It's just curious they release 2 series so quickly,
Just shortly after the debut of 4 series, x5, i3 and i8..

It's supposed to have the same engine so unless it's significantly lighter it shouldn't be much faster although they already confirmed it would be faster than the 1M on the ring

I think you will just have to wait a couple of weeks

I'm guessing the improved nurburgring lap time has something to do with the new LSD as I can't see it being lighter than the M135i.

For reference, the M135i lapped the ring in 8:18 and the 1M in 8:15.

This would be very good news. After a short 8 months of ownership, I recently sold my f30 335i M Sport mostly due to reasons already discussed (steering, handling, dimensions, ...). This M235i should be my next car. I am really looking forward to it now. In the mean time i'm driving a 6MT 2013 GTI which is pretty sweet, so maybe not entirely in a rush to order the M235i. Not just yet.

Any possibility of an xDrive version?

Why wouldn't it? That's the actual M235i.
