Back to BMW!
So it's been a while since I've checked the Bimmerpost forums. I few years ago I regrettably sold my 128i for a Subaru Outback in the name of practicality and adventure. That didn't last too long and I ended up longing for the latest Mustang.
It was a great car and had a ton of fun with it. The power was super smooth, and I had a blast using it as a sort of grand tourer going on road trips throughout California and the Southwest. A couple things that i really missed was a manual transmission and a firmer suspension. On tighter, more technical roads (such as canyon roads in Malibu) the front end kind of bobbed around and the car felt properly heavy. However, fate has decided the end of the Mustang era, and I got into an accident that totaled the car. The silver lining was that it was time to look for a new car. My requirements was a smaller car, a manual transmission, and increased driving engagement. I looked around at a bunch of CPO cars including the venerable GTI. After test driving a 228i, a GTI, a Mazda 3, and a WRX, I decided on the BMW. A Estoril Blue 228i M-Sport. The combination of a quiet cabin, smooth shifter, and plenty of power did it for me. I'll be looking through these forums for further information about the car and to get to know you all! I'm glad to be part of the Bimmer family again and am looking forward to many miles with this little blue guy! |

Alright alright. Here's my car journey since the 1 series. I'll post cooler photos of the new 2er in the next few days.

It's MY2016. The EB color is pretty epic. My 1 series was Alpine White, so I haven't had the most bold of color choices with my cars. I'm stoked to have a color that is receptive to OCD detailing and really sparkles in the sun.
